The Wall That Heals
The Wall That Heals is a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. It stands 375 feet long and 7.5 feet tall at its apex, and it carries all 58,281 names of the men and women who did not come home.
It travels with a Mobile Education Center, and for many veterans and families in this region it is the first chance to stand before The Wall without leaving home. Admission and parking are free, and it stays open 24 hours a day, closing Sunday, September 27 at 2:00 PM.
Post 259 is helping bring it here. Here is how you can be part of it.

We need about 200 volunteers
The Wall never closes while it is here, so it has to be staffed around the clock. Setup, teardown, and every shift in between, including overnight. You do not need to be a veteran or a rider. You just need to show up.
If you can give four hours, you can help someone find a name.

Ride the Escort
On Tuesday, September 22, the Riders escort The Wall the final miles into Oneonta. Ride with us, or line Route 7 and welcome it home.

Action, Not Just Words
We do not just wear the patch. We show up when the community calls. Whether it is an honor escort for a fallen hero or raising funds for neighbors in crisis, the Riders answer the call.
Vets for Pets Run
Every dollar from our annual Vets for Pets Run goes to three local shelters: the Susquehanna SPCA, Super Heroes Humane Society, and Friends of the Feral TNR.

Legacy Scholarship Fund
The annual Legacy Run funds our scholarship program for children of Veterans, including three scholarships awarded to students from Oneonta, Worcester, and Morris.

Richards Ave Boot Drive
When the Richards Avenue explosion devastated local families, we took to the streets with the Red Knights Chapter 44 and collected $3,800, delivered through Catholic Charities to those who lost everything.
