Kevin Crawford

Road Captain, ALR Post 259

What I like most is the camaraderie of the other members and what the American Legion Riders stand for.

Kevin Crawford served in the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1983, primarily in the United States. He later joined the American Legion and became part of American Legion Riders Post 259, where he now serves as a Road Captain.

Kevin has been riding motorcycles since he was about nine years old. Decades later, that enthusiasm remains strong. He rides a Harley-Davidson Tri Glide as well as a Yamaha XT250 that is registered for both on-road and off-road use.

Riding has also become something Kevin shares with his family. He taught his granddaughters to ride their own bikes, and he takes pride in watching their confidence grow on the trails.

As a Road Captain, Kevin helps the group travel safely and stay organized. The role reflects his attention to the riders behind him and his commitment to bringing everyone home safely.

Before retiring, Kevin worked for a municipality as a motor equipment operator. Away from motorcycles, he enjoys time with his wife and family, including his grandchildren, dogs, and cats.

Kevin is especially interested in rides that bring veterans and animals together and would like to see that support continue to grow. More than anything, he values the camaraderie of the Riders and the purpose behind their work.

For veterans and Legion family members who are considering joining, Kevin believes the shared mission and fellowship are reason enough to take the first step. Membership creates a place to ride with others, support the community, and stand behind the values of the American Legion Riders.
