Conor Ouimet

Conor Ouimet signed on with ALR Post 259 in 2026 as a Son of The American Legion, and he did it with about two months of riding behind him. Everybody starts somewhere. Conor is starting earlier than most.

There is no long story behind how he got into it. He saw a motorcycle, thought it looked good, and decided he wanted one. What he ended up with is a Harley-Davidson Street 750, black from the tank to the pipes.

Ask him what he likes about the Riders and he does not dress it up. He gets to help people who served. He has not picked out a cause of his own yet, and when the subject came up he said he would put his hand up for whatever needs doing. Between veterans, children and pets, the Post can keep him busy.

His week is a full one. He works at The Golden Guernsey, and he is a student at SUNY Delhi, studying mechatronics. It is a heavy program. When he asked about adding a minor, he was told he would not have the hours for it. What time is left over goes to fishing and video games, and he will tell you straight that the two of them cover just about all of it.

Motorcycles were in the picture long before he owned one. His father rode, and so do a fair number of his friends. He has known the Chase family for a good while too, and seeing Chris and Charlotte head out on their bikes is how he heard about the Riders in the first place. The Chases will tell you he is a well-rounded, responsible young man. His friends will tell you he is funny. Walking into Post 259 was not walking in cold. He knew the people and he knew the bikes, and now he rides with them.
