This drive is complete. In December 2023, ALR Post 259 and the Red Knights Chapter 44 raised $3,800 for the families affected by the December 9 explosion on Richards Avenue in Oneonta.
Thank You, Oneonta
The American Legion Riders Post 259 and the Red Knights Chapter 44 held a boot drive outside the Oneonta American Legion at 279 Chestnut Street on Saturday, December 16, 2023, raising money for the families affected by the explosion on Richards Avenue the week before.
Through the work of volunteers from both organizations, the drive collected $3,800. In exchange for donations, the Riders and the Red Knights handed out thank you notes and candy canes until the supplies ran out.
We are not collecting for this drive any longer. We are keeping this page up as a record of what the community did when neighbors needed help.
