ONEONTA, NY – The American Legion Riders Post 259 are hosting their 19th annual motorcycle ride on Saturday, September 11. This year’s Foliage Ride is in support of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Otsego County and their brother Robin Enck, an Army veteran and Legion Rider who lost his life to cancer in August.
Open to the public, this ride will begin in Oneonta and travel area county roads in Laurens, Gilbertsville, Guilford, Bainbridge, Sanford, Sidney, Unadilla and Otego. Along the way, the Legion Riders will be escorted by the Oneonta Police Department and the West Oneonta Fire Department.
The money raised helps to fund the American Cancer Society’s groundbreaking cancer research, patient care programs, and make a difference in communities like ours. With every registration, or donation, you are helping the American Cancer Society save lives.
The cost for this event is $15 per participant. There will also be raffles and a 50/50 to participate in. Cars are welcome to participate, too!
Day-of registration for the Legion Riders 2020 Foliage Run will begin at 9:45 AM at the Oneonta Vet’s Club at 279 Chestnut Street, but participants can also register online at alrpost259.org/foliage.
To protect our volunteers and ride participants from COVID-19, social distancing and masks will be required.
