ONEONTA, NY – The American Legion Riders Post 259 are hosting a scenic motorcycle ride to help support this year’s American Cancer Society Relay for Life event on May 18 for Otsego County. Open to the public, this ride will begin in Oneonta with a Blessing of the Bikes at 12p and end with a barbeque at the Relay For Life event, courtesy of the Milford Fire Department and Emergency Squad, in Milford’s Wilbur Park. Along the way, the Legion Riders will be escorted by the Oneonta Police Department, the Milford Fire Department and Emergency Squad, and the Cooperstown Police Department.
Proceeds from this motorcycle ride will go to Relay For Life. The monies raised help fund groundbreaking cancer research, patient care programs, and can make a difference in communities like ours. With every donation, you are helping the American Cancer Society save lives.
The cost for this event, including the barbeque, is $20 per rider and $15 per passenger. There will also be door prizes and raffles to participate in. Cars welcome to participate too!
Day-of registration for the Legion Riders 2019 Relay for Life Run will begin at 12:00 PM at the Oneonta Vet’s Club at 279 Chestnut Street, but participants can also register online at www.alrpost259.org/relayforlife.
